Facilities and Maintenance Dept.

Mission Statement:

The Facilities & Maintenance Department strives to provide a safe, secure, and functional learning environment for our students. We recognize that providing well maintained facilities for our staff results in better productivity and reduced absenteeism.

The following list is a summary of some of the actions that have been taken recently to implement our mission.

  • The Environmental Protection Agencies ‘Indoor Air Quality - Tools for Schools’ Action Kit has been utilized to find ways to improve the quality of air in our classrooms.
  • New commercial locksets with uniform keyways have been installed throughout the campus for both increased security and ease of access by authorized staff.
  • An upgraded security alarm system has been installed for improved intrusion detection and constant monitoring of the temperatures of critical food storage.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Software was used to streamline our maintenance work order scheduling and equipment history to improve the quantity and quality of work our department performs.
  • Preventative Maintenance guidelines from the Arizona School Facilities Board have been integrated into our maintenance scheduling software to comply with the minimum state standards of PM and as a result we are creating longer equipment life spans, better system efficiencies, and fewer equipment breakdowns.
