ACADEMIC DECATHLON

Our Academic Decathlon consists of selected Junior High students who meet for 16 weeks to learn problem solving skills. Each spring the group competes with other schools for Academic awards.

ENRICHMENT



Concho Schools Enrichment program consists of selected students who are pulled out of their classes for enrichment activities. Some of the activities are: Web page design, school newsletter, school news program, and research projects.

JR. HIGH SKI CLUB
Each year from January-March the 7th and 8th grade go to Sunrise Ski Hill 6 times a year to go skiing. They get lessons and by the end of the 6 weeks they learn how to ski properly.  Some ski from midway down, and others ski from the top down. It's a program enjoyed by all the Junior high students.

LIBRARY CLUB


Library Club's coordinater is Donna Padilla. Library Club is primarily before school. It's a program where Students have the opportunity to read either to themselves, a friend, or myself.  They also can take accelerated reader quizzes when finished to track their progress.

SPORTS
Students in 5-8th Grades participate in:
Fall: Boys Football-Girls Volleyball
Winter: Girls Basketball-Boys Basketball-Cheerleading
Spring: Co-ed soccer-Co-ed Track

STUDENT COUNCIL
                             Student Council are kids that have been chosen by their school, to represent their school. They also do concessions for home games, decorate for dances, and go to the nursing home in Show Low and  decorate a bulletin board each month. Every year for Christmas they have an activity
Called Santas Flea Market where they sell gifts for low prices.  Last year
our Student Council went to state, which is in Phoenix, to represent our school.
